Gary W. Griffin, Principal
Mr. Griffin, founding Principal of Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson, Inc., manages the Trading and Underwriting departments. Mr. Griffin began his career in 1967 after completing his education at Wheaton College and serving two years in the U.S. Army. Mr. Griffin actively oversees the firm's inventory (in both the new issue and secondary markets). He is a former member of the NASD District Business Conduct Committee, an active member of the Bond Market Association and serves as a Trustee of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
James L. Kubik, Principal
Mr. Kubik, a founding Principal of Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson, Inc., received his degree from Northern Illinois University and began his career in investment banking in 1971. For over 30 years, Mr. Kubik has specialized in the formulation and implementation of investment strategies for financial institutions. He bears overall responsibility for the fim's Public Finance activities. His extensive experience has also encompassed primary market underwriting and secondary market trading. He has also served for many years on the Northern Illinois University Foundation Board where he has served as an integral part of the Investment Committee.
David M. Thompson, President
Mr. Thompson, President and founding Principal of Chicago-based Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson, Inc., began his investment banking career in 1968 following service with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He has focused on institutional investor needs, with special emphasis on financial institutions and remains an active member of the firm's sales force. He bears overall responsibility for the firm's Sales activities, in addition to being involved in research and new product development. Mr. Thompson has served as Chairman of the Bond Market Association's Municipal Division and was Co-Chairman of the Bond Market Association's Political Action Committee, and a longtime member of the Chicago Municipal Bond Club.
Mary Lee Corrigan, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Corrigan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Griffin, Kubik, Stephens & Thompson, Inc. received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Catherine's and received her MBA from the University of Chicago. She began her investment banking career in 1978 with Bonniwell & Co., Inc., a Chicago-based municipal financial specialist, where she was Vice President and Controller. Ms. Corrigan has been with GKST since 1984 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm. In addition, she oversees the legal, regulatory and municipal research areas. Ms. Corrigan is a former member of the NASD District Business Conduct Committee, the Bond Market Association G-37 Task Force and has been actively involved with the industry's secondary market disclosure program.
